Create a red clay pot like the ones we use at home to grow plants
This tutorial will show you how to create a red clay pot for you drawings and when you are done, you will be able to create other kinds of earth ware using the same technique. You can also use this drawing to enhance your pictures.
Step 01:
After you create the document of the size you need, we have to create the shape of our pot. Use the Pen Tool to create the outline like you see in the next picture. Turn on the grid View-Show-Grid to make a better job. Once you are done, right click the area and select Make Selection from the menu.
Step 02:
Another box is going to pop up. Copy the data from the next picture and then click OK.
Step 03:
We now have the pot outline selected like you see in the next picture. Now select the Gradient Tool.
Step 04:
We are going to select two red tones. This tones are pretty much what you would see in this type of clay. Load them in your canvas just like you see in the next picture. Now Draw a gradient starting from the right lower corner and then up and to the left upper corner. Click Select-Deselect.
Step 05:
Use the Burn Tool to darken the areas where the shadows should be. The gradient already outlined what the areas are going to be. Take a look at the next picture to see what I mean.
Step 06:
Grab the Elliptical Marquee Tool and grab the top portion of the drawing. We need to start giving shape to our little pot and then using the Burn Tool to “burn” the area along the elliptical lines you just made.
Step 07:
Draw another elliptical shape on top of it just like you see in the next picture. When you have it done, Grab the Burn Tool and begin going around the rim to lighten the shape just like you see below.
Step 08:
Now lets click on Select-Modify-Contract and lets reduce the oval shape a little. I am going to enter 7 and press OK. You do it according to the size of your drawing.
Step 09:
Create a new layer Layer-New Layer and then fill the selection with color da7036 and then click Select-Deselect.
Step 10:
Click on Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur to make the shape look a little less “sharp” Select the right radius for your drawing and click OK.
Step 11:
And now you have a nice clay pot for your plant drawings.
Step 12:
Or your art projects. Happy Drawings.

I want to do this, but I have one question. Is this in paint on the computer?
