How to lighten a photograph using lighting effects
Ever happened to you that when you download your pictures into your computer you end up with some dark photographs and you can’t take them again because the opportunity is gone? This tutorial will show you you how to rescue them.
Step 01:
I have this picture taken at a park and I want to lighten it a bit because it looks a little dark. I will open it in Photoshop and get started.
Step 02:
After you opened your picture, you start by clicking on Filter-Sharp-Unsharp Mask. The default will pretty much do but you can change it if you prefer.
Step 03:
Now we hit Filter-Render=Lighting Effects and we begin applying the light. In the oval figure you can see black dots along the borders. Click on those anchors and drag them out to cover the areas of the picture you want to lighten.
Step 04:
And you now have a better picture with some of the darkness removed.
