We are going to learn how to create a long sheet of paper and then we are going to fold one of the corners. This is a simple and easy thing to draw and you can use this drawing in several ways.


Step 01:
Create a document of any size you need and then fill it white. Now lets turn on the grid so we can work easier View-Show-Grid.

Step 02:
Using the grids as guide, use the Polygonal Lasso Tool and draw a shape like the one you see in the next picture. As you see, it looks like a piece of paper and I already cut off one of the corners.

Step 03:
Create a new layer Layer-New Layer and then fill that selection with any color you want. I am going to use a gray color and then click Select-Deselect to deselect the shape.

Step 04:
Now lets create the the piece of paper that will be the folded piece using the Polygonal Lasso Tool again.

Step 05:
Create a new layer Layer-New Layer and fill the shape with another shade of gray. I am using a light color so you can tell them apart. It really does not matter what color you use because we will change it later.

Step 06:
Once you create the new shape, click on Layer-Layer Style-Drop Shadow. Select an appropriate shadow for your drawing and then go to Gradient Overlay.

Step 07:
We need to create a gradient like the one you see in the next picture. It has three different colors and you can see what they are. If you are using a different color for you sheet, you will have to adjust the colors accordingly. Once you have created the gradient, click OK and we will have our piece of paper filled with the new gradient.

Step 08:
Click on View-Show-Grid to remove the grids and you can see your work more clearly.
