create a raimbow effect on your photographs
You have provably seen magazines where they have a picture of something or someone where they show the person or object covered with a rainbow color on them. This effect changes the appearance of your photograph and makes people take notice and its very easy to do. You can apply this effect to any photograph to make them stand out from the rest and make them more interesting to look at. This tutorial is very simple and you will have no trouble following it.
Step 01:
We are going to attempt to create a rainbow effect over this photograph to change its look. The first thing we do after we open it in Photoshop is to remove the color. Click on Image-Adjustments-Desaturate.
Step 02:
Now lets go to Image-Adjustments-Levels to make the black and white effect a little better. The input levels will be different for you if you are using your own picture. Adjust them accordingly and press OK.
Step 03:
Create a new layer Layer-New Layer and then select the Gradient Tool. Click on the gradient to select the colors we want. If you do not know how to use the gradient, just click the circled icon to get those colors. If you know how to use this tool, customize the colors as you want.
Step 04:
You are now on an empty layer that you just created. With the gradient still selected, Draw a line that goes from one corner to the opposite corned. Go to the Layer mode and change it to Soft Light.
Step 05:
Now you have the rainbow effect, Create more layers and draw the same line in different directions to get different results.
Step 06:
I hope you enjoyed this simple and easy tutorial.
