There are many tutorials that teach you
how to create a Glass Texture text but this is provably one of the easiest
ones. The results are great and it does not take a long time to do. Give it
a shot...
01
We first start by opening the picture
we want to use as a background. Now select a font you like and an
appropriate size and type something in your canvas. Choose any color you
want because this layer will be discarded eventually.
02
After you have written something, Control-Click that text
layer to select . The text will look like marching ants like you see
above.
03
Click on the background
layer to select it and then hit Edit-Copy followed by an Edit-Paste. This
will make a copy of your text from the background. You can now delete your
text layer or just hide it.
04
Click on the layer of
the copy you just made and hit Layer-Layer Style-Blending Options. From the
menu that appears, select Drop Shadow. Select a shadow of an appropriate
size for the size of your canvas. Do not click OK just yet.
05
Now select the option Inner Shadow
and again select the appropriate sizes for your canvas. When you are
happy with your results, click OK.
06
Pass the mouse on top of the picture
to see the Before and After.
