How to bring up the color in your photographs

In this Tutorial you will learn how to brighten your fall colors. In this instance, this picture was taken too early during the fall season and not all the colors are there yet. With a couple of Photoshop Steps, we can correct that and make the picture look like Fall is in full Swing.

I have this picture taken during the Early Fall and the red colors are not there yet. To correct this, we need to open the picture in Photoshop and then we will duplicate the layer Layer-Duplicate Layer. This is just so that we can save the original picture.

Click on Image-Adjustments-Color Balance and lets start with the Shadows Option. Move the levels until you get the tones you want and then move on to Midtones.

 After you are done with the Midtones move on to Highlights.

Once you are happy with your new brighter nicer looking colors, click OK.

Pass the mouse on top of the picture to see the Before and After.
